Children's Choir
1st – 5th Grades
Developmental Concepts:
· We learn about vowels and consonants and their importance in singing.
· We study the relationship between text and musical notes and phrases.
· We experience different rhythms and meters in music.
· We develop our skills as worship leaders though our music and participation in worship.
· We experience music, songs and hymns of other cultures along with our own in sharing music for the liturgical year.
Children's Choir sings in worship 6-7 Sundays a year, and present special music for Christmas Eve, and the Christmas and Spring concerts. Also possible outreach performances within the community may be included.
