Missions + Service

 

At Anona, we believe that Scripture teaches us that there must be a connection between what we believe and how we live out our beliefs in the world.  We are called to "be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive ourselves" (James 1.22).  In other words, we are called to make the love of Christ real by giving of ourselves and our resources.  We do this by sending missionaries - and ourselves - into the world to spread the good news, feed the hungry, heal the sick, shelter the homeless, welcome the stranger and help God's children everywhere (Matthew 25.35-40).  

 

At the same time, we realize that not everyone is able to serve in the same way or has the same amount of time available to serve.  As a result, at Anona we seek to offer a variety of opportunities to be in mission or service that can accommodate pretty much anyone's capabilities or schedules.  The key is to be doing something that is significant for you at this time and place in your life.  Take time to browse through some of our opportunities.  If you see something that interests you, give the person or organization a call or send them an email.  Together we can transform our world for Christ.
