Anona’s Student Ministry cannot function without its amazing team of volunteers. This team is comprised of men and women from all backgrounds with all kinds of gifts and personalities, though they have one thing in common: they are all called to help build the kingdom of God through ministry to adolescents. There are many different ways to volunteer.

Small Group Leaders:  Small group leaders are the key relationship builders in this ministry.  They stay with the same group of students through high school graduation. These adults walk with students through the celebrations and mountaintop experiences of their students’ lives as well as the tragedies and the pitfalls.

Support Team:  Support team members are the key program facilitators. This team is available during program and ministry events to setup, tear down, go get, roll out, and clean up.  The fruits of their labor allow relationships to be formed at the dinner tables they set-up or prayers to be guided by the candles that they lit.

Kitchen Krew:  The Kitchen Krew keeps all our bellies full on Sunday nights. They prepare and serve food to  our students and adults every Sunday night. They are led by one of our staff members Natalie Betts who has developed this group into a community in and of itself. They are also greatly appreciated by students and adults alike.

Chaperones:  There are many people who wish to be in ministry to youth but cannot make regular commitments due to work, family and various other life commitments. These are the kinds of people that make great event chaperones. Chaperones are adults who have gone through our child protection procedures and are willing to come with us on trips or spend a night at a lock-in or be present at any other event where an adult can be used. This is a wonderful entry place for adults who would like to understand more about the culture of student ministry before making a regular commitment.

Each of our volunteer teams is supported physically, spiritually and emotionally, through training, information, prayer, counseling and worship. If you are at all interested in being a member of any one of these teams contact the student ministry directors.
