Child/Youth Protection Training

We are so excited that you want to volunteer with kids or students at Anona! Every volunteer, staff & pastor at Anona must be certified annually in our Child/Youth Protection Policy.  To become certified, follow the steps below:
 
1. Complete our VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
 
2. Watch our Child/Youth Protection Policy Video & complete/submit the form found below

Child & Youth Protection Video Questions
 
Choose the term that best describes the definition in Questions 1-7.  The answer may be one or more of the choices.  To select more than one answer from the drop-down box, hold down the Shift key and click on each choice you wish to select.

1. Persons paid by the church, overseen by the Staff Parish Relations Committee, and background screened.

 
2. Adults who are background screened, trained in child protection, and active in Anona activities for at least 6 months prior to volunteering.

 
3. Anyone who is not a child but still under the age 18 and is a volunteer.

 
4. Any person who knows or has suspicion that a child is abused, abandoned or neglected by a parent, legal custodian, or caregiver shall report such knowledge or suspicion to a pastor or staff person who will immediately call the Abuse Hotline.
 
5. Violent, non-accidental contact which results in injury.
 
6. Any form of sexual activity with a child/youth, done for the pleasure of the caregiver.
 

7. Words or actions that crush the spirit or attacks the self worth of another.

12. To stand outside of the bathroom door while a minor is using the facilities.
