Over the next two weeks, Anona United Methodist Church will be taking an additional offering to support hurricane missions. 100% of the donations will be used towards hurricane relief. Donations can be made online by selecting HURRICANE MISSION or during our Sunday services. Ushers will have envelopes in both Traditional and Contemporary services for you to use. Please contact Jackie Evans, Director of Missions, with any questions.
Preparing for A STORM
Our first concern is for your safety. Here are a few recommendations provided by Pinellas County Emergency Management to help you prepare before a storm hits.
Emergency Preparedness Kit:
Here is a link to help you create a kit.
Know Your Zone:
The threat of a storm brings the threat of flooding. Zones can change from year to year. Make sure you know your evacuation zone or call Pinellas County Emergency Management at (727) 464-3800 for help looking up your home’s evacuation zone.
Anona Campus Policies
If tropical force winds are in the area on Sunday, we will not have church.
If Pinellas County Schools are closed, the entire campus will be closed.
Please pray for the areas and people that will be impacted by this storm.
AFTER THE STORM
Are you interested in helping the community or the world, building a home or rebuilding after disaster strikes? Anona is excited to provide various mission opportunities to help in local Hurricane recovery projects. Learn more about our Disaster Recovery Team at Anona.
