On Thursday, August 29, Anona United Methodist Church presented a $5000 check to Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County as their co-sponsor for their 2020 Faith Build. The Faith Build is a multi-church, multi-denominational sponsored build. The recipient (and future homeowner) is Kelly Cottner and her two children, Angelina and Bradley. The family has to put in numerous “sweat equity hours” as well as take classes on budget management, parenting, home-ownership, and even being a good neighbor! We love being a part of the broader faith community empowering someone to become a homeowner and providing stability for them. Our Anona volunteers year-round to support Habitat for Humanity—the Faith build is a unique opportunity to demonstrate what faith in action looks like!
