Over Labor Day weekend, a few folks took Pastor Jack's recent sermon, "Eternity" (watch online) to heart. They worked—not labored—to convert a storage room at Anona Childhood and Early Development Center into a lunch and planning-period space for our wonderful ACDC staff as a surprise.
What an amazing difference! The once bright green and orange room with old, outdated furniture has been transformed. It is now a peaceful, serene space that staff can use. The unsuspecting teachers got a big surprise on Wednesday morning when they came back from the weekend! It was such a blessing to see the joy on their faces. As Pastor Jack said, working is truly not labor when we feel God's hand in it.
The team of workers included a fellowship group of Anona members that originated out of the 360 Service. They wanted to help the Missions team pull off a big surprise for the staff and used the long weekend to make it happen! Many hands make light work, and the group had plenty of laughter in between the sweating, aching backs, and paint-covered bodies.
