The “Prayer of Humble Access” used by the Methodist, Episcopal, Church of England, and Roman Catholic churches says that “God’s property is always to have mercy”. It is a guiding principle in my life. If we are to be godly, mercy must be constantly before us. Just as First John 4:8 says “The one who does not love does not know God”, James says “those who show not mercy will receive no mercy”. I don’t know about you, but I need mercy. I would like to face a mercy-full God. My prayer for you on this day is that Mercy both flows from you and to you.
