A life built on a strong foundation withstands the storm. This scripture is about a house built on rock not sand. Jesus taught his disciples to live an abundant life of faith. That faith had Him as the cornerstone. The phrase “Amor Fati” means not to resign yourself to what is happening, but to love your life come what may. An ancient phrase from Marcus Aurelius is “a blazing fire makes flame and brightness out of everything that is thrown into it.” Nietzsche said to “not merely bear what is necessary… but love it”. Happiness comes not from lucky circumstance or a good day but from a strong foundation unshaken.
