Sunday, Sept 30 - P.O.V. Empathy through Mission

Erin Padgett

I will be wrapping up our study and discourse with finding Empathy through Mission. My text will be from the conclusion of the book of Romans, Chapter 16, verses 17 and 18. Strong words. Let our energy be spent in mission not division. Let our concerns be for the welfare of us all, not ourselves. Take a different path than dividing and offending.

Romans 16:17-18

Sept 23 - POV Stretching Out with Our Feelings

Erin Padgett

Dealing with our feelings can be difficult. And in times of conflict, understanding other people’s feelings can be even more challenging to handle. This morning, we’ll be exploring the challenges in relating to others and having empathy for those we are in conflict with, and how through humility, patience, and love we can maintain “the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Sunday, Sept 16 - P.O.V. What is Useful?

Erin Padgett

It’s not often that you come across a person that will actually claim that they enjoy conflict. Many of us tend to want to avoid it…sometimes at all costs. What we fail to understand is that avoiding conflict often has a greater cost than engaging in it…if the conflict is engaged in a healthy way. This week we look at what is useful in conflict.
