2nd Wind Cafe

2nd Wind Cafe is a casual gathering of women to engage in coffee and conversation. This is a safe place for you to come as you are and join others in community with a brief time to pause, catch your breath and build your faith with prayer and Scripture.

Women today feel disconnected, and it’s hard for women to attend a deeper faith based class without having first made connections with other women. Many outsiders think that the “insiders” have it all together and that they would never fit in a Bible study class or prayer group. First we hope to connect women and draw them into deeper friendships. We plan to introduce scripture read as a prayer as a way to teach others that prayer is just talking to God or reading His word. Our hope is that women will seek a deeper faith journey as they get to know each other and see that at Anona all are welcome. Because so many are disconnected, yet desire deep connections, this really could transform lives as we get to know each other. In turn, more people will be invited in, which will have a ripple effect of love outward in our community.
