Confirmation 2025
Confirmation - Fall 2025
This fall, we’re excited to offer Confirmation for students 7th grade and older in a brand-new way! To make space for Mrs. Megan’s upcoming maternity leave—and to allow Rev. Latricia, our new head pastor, to help lead the experience—we’re moving this year’s Confirmation to Sunday night Youth Group instead of Sunday mornings. This shift gives us the unique opportunity to walk through Confirmation together as a full youth community, with the support of both our pastoral and youth leadership.
What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is an opportunity for students to explore their faith in a deeper way. They’ll learn about what we believe, why we believe it, and how to apply it to our daily lives. We will discuss United Methodist theology along with other basic Christian beliefs to begin to lay the foundation for students to develop a personal faith of their own. Our goal is to help students build a strong foundation for a personal and lasting relationship with God.

Attendance Requirements:
To be confirmed, students are expected to attend All Confirmation Classes and events, including:

We understand that life happens—students may miss one class if absolutely necessary, but that will be required to schedule a make-up session with Megan. Missing more than one class or any of the special events may disqualify a student’s Confirmation this season.

~ Everyone (whole church, youth group, families, students) is invited to the beach as we baptize students who have decided to take that step in their faith as part of Confirmation.
~ Plus, we’ll remember our baptisms for everyone who has already been baptized younger or as a baby AND celebrate steps taken in faith by the group.
Sun, Oct 19th - Confirmation Sunday
~ We’ll be celebrating our Confirmation Class at all of the Sunday worship services in the morning AND evening.
How to Register:
Once registered, additional information and details will be emailed out so that you are well informed for each event scheduled. All students 7-12th grade are welcome to participate. The cost is $70 for the class, which includes the retreat and class supplies. We believe in the importance of Confirmation so we have scholarship assistance available for any reason to students interested.
Change 4 Change Volunteering

Middle & High School Volunteering
What it is: Change 4 Change is a ministry created and run by middle and high school students for over a decade. Every second Sunday of the month (some months are different), our students collect any spare change from congregation members before and after our worship services. Students get to be a part of deciding where the money collected should go to give back to our community!
How to get involved: We have two big ways students can get involved in this mission: (1) sign up to volunteer on collection Sundays and help collect and count change; (2) sign up to be a student-representative at the monthly Missions Meetings to be a voice in making decisions with the team.
Participating in fun events: Throughout the year, we will have fun missional events that utilizes their collections. For example, this December we will be hosting Change 4 Change's annual HEAT Christmas Shopping event! In order to participate in this event, students must volunteer at least 4 times between now and December. If you participate in both Sunday collection shifts during a morning, we'll count that as volunteering 2 times! Click the button below to sign up!

How to get involved: We have two big ways students can get involved in this mission: (1) sign up to volunteer on collection Sundays and help collect and count change; (2) sign up to be a student-representative at the monthly Missions Meetings to be a voice in making decisions with the team.

Chick-Fil-A Night
Join us at Chick-Fil-A on August 4th from 5:30-7:00pm as we enjoy good food and company as a portion of the proceeds will go towards Residing Hope. If you’re unable to make it during this time, you can visit this Chick-Fil-A at any time and use code ANONA to help us support our partner Residing Hope.

There’s no better way to end the summer than with friends and a WHOLE night of fun! We're inviting all 6th-12th grade students for an evening packed with fun, games, and unforgettable memories. This year’s special outing is at Celebration Station! This includes pizza & drinks unlimited go-karts, bumper boats, laser tag, eurobungy plus $25 to spend at their arcade and batting cages! Expect tons of activities, snacks, and the chance to hang out with friends all night long. Don't miss this end-of-summer bash—it's going to be a blast!

All current 6th-11th grade (2024-2025 school year) students are invited to an unforgettable experience serving the surrounding communities right in our backyard. This year, Anona Youth will be partnering with local organizations to help OUR community right at home! Our hope is to show the impact that our students can make right here at home with the local organizations we partner with year-round. We’re providing the opportunity to put your students’ faith into action and return home with lifelong memories and a renewed excitement for Jesus Christ. We’ll still have all the elements that an “away” mission trip includes, with the benefits of impacting our own families in the community!

Teen Valley Ranch Camp
Teen Valley Ranch (TVR) Camp
All current 6th-11th grade students (2024-2025 school year) are invited to an unforgettable experience at Teen Valley Ranch (TVR) Camp.
We’re so excited to be returning this summer! We are partnering with St. Paul UMC’s Youth Group to travel up to Plumtree, North Carolina for a camp experience in the mountains at Teen Valley Ranch Camp, or TVR.
TVR hopes that the summer experience is unforgettable fun; but more than that, they desire to make a great impact on campers’ lives and inspire them to live life with Jesus. They are a ministry full of trained staff who love to share their skills, talents and faith to make a difference in the lives of students. TVR offers distinct programs for middle and high school students. They are in sessions together, but have distinct group games and cabin times. Join us as we roll out the red carpet to celebrate our amazing seniors and their time in youth group! On Sunday, May 4th @ 5-7:30pm, we’ll gather for a special evening of food, fun, and honoring our graduating students as they prepare to step into their next chapter.
This year’s theme is Hollywood Movies—so come dressed to impress in your red carpet best or as your favorite (church-appropriate!) movie character. It’s going to be a night full of memories, laughter, and celebration. We hope your student will join us!

Easter Sunday is one of the most exciting mornings of the year for our younger friends, and we have an amazing opportunity to make it even more special! On Sunday, April 20th, we’re looking for students (and parents!) to help hide eggs for the big hunt or volunteer in Anona Kids and Anona Little Kids. This is a simple but meaningful way to serve, have fun, and make Easter morning unforgettable for the next generation.

Lenten All-Ages Study
Join us on Wednesday evenings this Lenten season for a time of fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth. The evening begins with an optional, open-house-style dinner, providing an opportunity to connect before we break into age-specific Bible studies. Programs are available for children as young as six months through adulthood, and registration is required.
This year, we’ll explore The Third Day: Living the Resurrection by Tom Berlin. Through compelling storytelling and biblical insight, Berlin brings to life the experiences of those closest to Jesus in his final days. Rather than focusing on loss, this study emphasizes themes of new life and redemption.
Walk alongside Peter, Mary Magdalene, and Thomas as they navigate the sorrow of Jesus’ death and the unexpected joy of his resurrection. We’ll also journey with Paul, the disciples on the road to Emmaus, and others whose lives were transformed by the risen Christ.
Whether you can join us for one night or all five weeks, we welcome you to be part of this meaningful journey toward Easter.
