Scary to Be Hungry
We have run a scary to be hungry campaign for the past several years in October one of the reasons we do this is October is a very low month at the food bank and they are still serving the same amount of folks and trying to gear up for the holiday rush where they will receive donations but also an uptick in their clients around the holidays. So October is a great month for us to collect those non perishable high protein items and restock the food bank before the holidays arrive. Please bring in your items all month long in October we will have ‘scary’ barrels in the church lobby and in the marketplace!
Kids Choir
Kids Choirs for Christmas!
Get ready to sing, shine, and celebrate the season! We’re launching two Kids Choirs to perform during our Family Christmas Sunday on December 14th.
Carol Choir – for 4’s and Kindergartners
Kids Choir – for 1st through 5th graders
Both choirs will meet on Wednesday afternoons starting November 5th for six fun and festive practices.
Carol Choir 4:00-4:30pm | Kids Choir 4:30-5:30pm
Parents are invited to join in the fun too—sing alongside your kids and make it a family experience to remember!

Trunk or Treat
Join us for Trunk or Treat! Bring the whole family for a fun-filled evening of costumes, candy, and creatively decorated car trunks. Safe, festive, and perfect for all ages.
If you would like to decorate a trunk, we would love to have you be part of the experience. Simply click the button below to sign up and reserve your spot.
Candy Collection
Anona’s annual Trunk or Treat is right around the corner, and we’re so excited to welcome our community for an evening of fun, fellowship, and lots of sweet treats!
To make the night extra special for the kids, we’re asking for candy donations. If you’d like to help, please bring bags of individually wrapped candy and drop them off in the collection bins located lobby.
Every donation—big or small—helps us share joy with families in our community. Thank you for partnering with us to make Trunk or Treat a safe and memorable event for all!
Socktember
September is becoming SOCKTEMBER here at Anona so we can remember to collect lots of NEW socks for needy students this Fall. Our partners at Clothes to Kids give each student five new pairs of socks (along with five new pairs of underwear and five sets of summer clothes to cover 5 school days of clean clothes). Often families do not have access to washers and dryers during the week so covering five school days is very important! All sizes K-12th grade are needed, no show socks are favorites, darker colors preferred for boys. Collection points in the Main Lobby (yes come visit!) Monetary donations to missions are also much appreciated!
Family Worship & Backpack Blessing
Hey families – it’s that time again! As our kids, teachers, and school staff gear up for a brand-new school year, we want to send them off with love and prayer. Join us for our annual Backpack Blessing on Sunday, August 10th during worship. While we will recognize and pray over the kids during all services, we are inviting children to bring their backpacks and their families to join us for family worship during the 9:30am service.
We will have a blessing for anyone in attendance as well as backpacks going to Pinellas HEAT program and backpacks going to Cuba.
Breakfast will be served after each service.
There will be no little kids/kids/youth this Sunday as we focus on spending time as a family before heading back to school.

Join us at Chick-Fil-A on August 4th from 5:30-7:00pm as we enjoy good food and company as a portion of the proceeds will go towards Residing Hope. Lenten All-Ages Study
Join us on Wednesday evenings this Lenten season for a time of fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth. The evening begins with an optional, open-house-style dinner, providing an opportunity to connect before we break into age-specific Bible studies. Programs are available for children as young as six months through adulthood, and registration is required.
This year, we’ll explore The Third Day: Living the Resurrection by Tom Berlin. Through compelling storytelling and biblical insight, Berlin brings to life the experiences of those closest to Jesus in his final days. Rather than focusing on loss, this study emphasizes themes of new life and redemption.
Walk alongside Peter, Mary Magdalene, and Thomas as they navigate the sorrow of Jesus’ death and the unexpected joy of his resurrection. We’ll also journey with Paul, the disciples on the road to Emmaus, and others whose lives were transformed by the risen Christ.
Whether you can join us for one night or all five weeks, we welcome you to be part of this meaningful journey toward Easter.

Family Worship Sunday
Join us on February 23 for a family worship Sunday. This means that there will be no Anona kids programming that Sunday as kids will attend worship with their families! Bonnie will be preaching this Sunday and we will be celebrating the families that participated in learning to use my Bible, as they go on this journey together to discover God's Word!
Learning to Use My Bible
Starting January 19, 10:45-11:45AM in Wesley Hall
6 Sunday series, for Upper Elementary AND their Parents
February 23rd will be Bible Sunday
Learning to use My Bible is a 6-week program for upper elementary students AND their parents to adventure through the Bible and learn important skills to discover God's great big love in this confusing and great big book. This class will work to lay the foundation for our kids to feel confident asking questions and learning more about God, while helping parents feel ready to walk alongside students in this journey!
We know the Bible is not easy to understand, where to even begin!? We want to partner with parents to help you feel comfortable and equipped to have those big conversations when kids have big questions!
Sunday Funday
Come together for a Fun Sunday! After church, 10:30AM, we will serve our community together with Pack-A-Sack, where we provide food for kids in our community. Play on the playground with friends. Wander around to visit our Community Partner booths where you can collect resources for families. Grab lunch. Get connected with your faith community!
