Advent All-Ages Bible Study
This Advent season, we’re diving into the story of Christ’s coming with something for everyone—adults, youth, and kids! Join us as we prepare our hearts, grow in faith, and celebrate the hope of Christmas together through learning, creativity, and community.
Adults: Dynamic Faith
Facilitated by Dr. Darryl “Husbae” Scriven
The strand running through the season of Advent is dynamic faith. In fact, dynamic faith is the only way we can truly receive what God has done for us through Christ. In this three-week series, we’ll explore how faith differs from mere belief and how dynamic faith comes alive in the stories of Mary (Luke 1:26–38), Joseph (Matthew 1:18–25), and the Wise Men (Matthew 2:1–12). Come ready for fun, interactive learning, and thought-provoking discussion—including some creative, theatrical storytelling along the way!
Youth: A Wandering Journey
Advent invites us to journey toward Bethlehem with intention. This series helps students shift from the season’s usual consumer distractions toward a deeper, more spiritual path. Each week centers on a meaningful theme, guiding youth into the story of the Incarnation. Together, we’ll practice waiting as preparation, connect through shared meals and stories, and discover how to live out God’s hope in everyday life.
Little Kids & Kids: Stories of Angels
Kids are invited to join us for a fun-filled Christmas celebration as we learn all about the angels from the Bible and the special messages they brought about Jesus’ birth! With hands-on crafts, games, and snacks, kids will experience the wonder of the Christmas story in a way they can understand. It’s a joyful time to make new friends and celebrate the true meaning of the Advent season together!
Christmas Eve Service
Celebrate the wonder of Christmas with us on December 24th! Join us for a night of worship, reflection, and joy as we remember the birth of Jesus Christ.
Traditional Services: 6:00 PM & 8:00 PM
Contemporary Service: 7:30 PM
Experience timeless carols, inspiring messages, and the warmth of our church family. Whether you prefer a traditional or contemporary style of worship, there’s a place for you to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Bring your friends and family and share in this special evening of hope, light, and joy!

Candy Collection
Anona’s annual Trunk or Treat is right around the corner, and we’re so excited to welcome our community for an evening of fun, fellowship, and lots of sweet treats!
To make the night extra special for the kids, we’re asking for candy donations. If you’d like to help, please bring bags of individually wrapped candy and drop them off in the collection bins located lobby.
Every donation—big or small—helps us share joy with families in our community. Thank you for partnering with us to make Trunk or Treat a safe and memorable event for all!
Scary to Be Hungry
We have run a scary to be hungry campaign for the past several years in October one of the reasons we do this is October is a very low month at the food bank and they are still serving the same amount of folks and trying to gear up for the holiday rush where they will receive donations but also an uptick in their clients around the holidays. So October is a great month for us to collect those non perishable high protein items and restock the food bank before the holidays arrive. Please bring in your items all month long in October we will have ‘scary’ barrels in the church lobby and in the marketplace!
Socktember
September is becoming SOCKTEMBER here at Anona so we can remember to collect lots of NEW socks for needy students this Fall. Our partners at Clothes to Kids give each student five new pairs of socks (along with five new pairs of underwear and five sets of summer clothes to cover 5 school days of clean clothes). Often families do not have access to washers and dryers during the week so covering five school days is very important! All sizes K-12th grade are needed, no show socks are favorites, darker colors preferred for boys. Collection points in the Main Lobby (yes come visit!) Monetary donations to missions are also much appreciated!
Family Worship & Backpack Blessing
Hey families – it’s that time again! As our kids, teachers, and school staff gear up for a brand-new school year, we want to send them off with love and prayer. Join us for our annual Backpack Blessing on Sunday, August 10th during worship. While we will recognize and pray over the kids during all services, we are inviting children to bring their backpacks and their families to join us for family worship during the 9:30am service.
We will have a blessing for anyone in attendance as well as backpacks going to Pinellas HEAT program and backpacks going to Cuba.
Breakfast will be served after each service.
There will be no little kids/kids/youth this Sunday as we focus on spending time as a family before heading back to school.
Chick-Fil-A Night
Join us at Chick-Fil-A on August 4th from 5:30-7:00pm as we enjoy good food and company as a portion of the proceeds will go towards Residing Hope. Lenten All-Ages Study
Join us on Wednesday evenings this Lenten season for a time of fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth. The evening begins with an optional, open-house-style dinner, providing an opportunity to connect before we break into age-specific Bible studies. Programs are available for children as young as six months through adulthood, and registration is required.
This year, we’ll explore The Third Day: Living the Resurrection by Tom Berlin. Through compelling storytelling and biblical insight, Berlin brings to life the experiences of those closest to Jesus in his final days. Rather than focusing on loss, this study emphasizes themes of new life and redemption.
Walk alongside Peter, Mary Magdalene, and Thomas as they navigate the sorrow of Jesus’ death and the unexpected joy of his resurrection. We’ll also journey with Paul, the disciples on the road to Emmaus, and others whose lives were transformed by the risen Christ.
Whether you can join us for one night or all five weeks, we welcome you to be part of this meaningful journey toward Easter.
